Closing Letter

Dear MM Asia 2020 Participants,

Thank you very much for your active participation for this virtual event. It is because of you who made MMAsia’20 successful. The next event is MMAsia’21 in December, Gold Coast, Australia. We wish the best of the world and hope to see you all assimilated in the golden sunshine and beach before Christmas.

We are proud to announce the two best paper awards. Congratulations!

Best Paper (SGD 200 Cash Prize):
“Distilling Knowledge in Causal Inference for Unbiased Visual Question Answering” by Yonghua Pan, Zechao Li, Liyan Zhang, and Jinhui Tang

Best Paper Runner-Up (SGD 200 Cash Prize):
“Interactive Re-ranking for Cross-modal Retrieval Based on Object-wise Question Answering” by Rintaro Yanagi, Ren Togo, Takahiro Ogawa, and Miki Haseyama.

The poll was made by seven best paper committee members and the vote was based on the camera-ready papers, reviews, video presentations, and live Q&A. All the best paper candidates will be invited to submit journal versions to ACM ToMM Special Issue on MMAsia’20.
